Post #108 WHAT WILL BE THE SIGN OF YOUR COMING | MATTHEW CHAPTER 24 | PART 1

[MATT 24:1-3]
1 Jesus left the TEMPLE and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. 2 “Do you see all these things?” he asked. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.” 3 As Jesus was sitting on the MOUNT OF OLIVES, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said,
A) WHEN WILL THIS HAPPEN?
B) WHAT WILL BE THE SIGN OF YOUR COMING?
C) AND OF THE END OF THE WORLD?

v1 = Disciples started conversation about how great the Jewish temple in Jerusalem is

v2 = Jesus prophecy came true. Jerusalem temple was destroyed in 70AD by the Roman Empire.

v3 = Disciples asked Jesus 3 questions. One, when will this happen? Two, what will be sign of your coming? Three, What will be the sign of the end of the age? The entire chapters of Matthew chapter 24 and 25 are Jesus’ descriptions, explanations and answers to these 3 questions asked by His disciples.

v3 = Mount of Olives. Jesus preached about His second coming on Mount of Olives. He also went up to heaven after His resurrection from Mount of Olives. Coincidence or Jesus already knew? Read Acts 1:9-12

[ACTS 1:9-12]
After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, WILL COME BACK IN THE SAME WAY you have seen him go into heaven.” Then the apostles returned to Jerusalem from the hill called the MOUNT OF OLIVES, a Sabbath day’s walk from the city.

v3 = Jesus preached about the end-times last-days on Mount of Olives. He went up to heaven from Mount of Olives. He will return to earth to Mount of Olives for His second coming. Therefore, watch Mount of Olives carefully.
