1) Moses sent down fire from heaven [Exodus 9:23] Moses stretched out his staff toward the sky, and the Lord sent thunder and hail, and fire ran down to the earth. And the Lord rained hail on the land of Egypt.

2) Elijah did it with God’s help [1 Kings 18:37-39] Then the fire of the Lord fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.

3) David’s altar was consumed by fire [1 Chronicles 21:26]Then David built an altar to the Lord there and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. And he called to the Lord and He answered him with fire from heaven on the altar of burnt offering.

4) Disciples of Jesus wanted to call down fire from heaven [Luke 9:54] When the disciples James and John saw this, they asked, “Lord, do you want us to call fire down from heaven to destroy them.
