[MATTHEW 24:28 NIV] Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.
[MATTHEW 24:28 KJV] For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
[EXPLANATION #3] When Jesus comes back for the second time, there will be a great amount of carnage during the 7 years of tribulation. It will not be like any other time on the earth. In Revelation chapter 19, John describes the final battle between Jesus, and the beast and his earthly kings. After the battle, many people will die. And the angel will command the birds to gather onto the battle field to feast on the carnage of flesh. The eagles / vultures will be incredibly hungry due to the years of tribulation. The angel’s invitation to the birds to come and eat on all of the carcasses will not be ignored.
[REVELATION 19:17-21 NIV]
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair, “Come, gather together for the great supper of God,
18 so that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals, and the mighty, of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, great and small.”
21 and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh.
