3) Another crucially needed message, the disconnect you mentioned, has been what most modern “Christians” suffer from. They want to keep God restricted to little pockets in their lives like the Church House, and devotionals, but they are totally secular in the rest of their lives. They refuse to let Scripture speak to every area of their lives, and mainly think of the Bible as some kind of “Chicken Soup for the Soul” inspiration / motivation book, rather than the words and commands of Almighty God to us.
