What is helmet of salvation?
A. Protect my head
B. Guard my mind

Why wear helmet to protect my head? Head is most important part of my body. When I have 100% certain knowledge of my salvation, I will not be deceived by satan’s lies. When I am assured of forgiveness of my sins through the blood of Jesus Christ, I shall have that godly peace that is unshakable.

[1 John 1:9] If we confess our sins, [Jesus] is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness

B. Why wear helmet to guard my mind? Primary area where battlefield of Christians is won or lost is through our mind.

What does helmet of salvation do for my Christian faith? To know the truth.

[John 8:31-32] To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

What do wearing a helmet signifies? Assurance of my eternal salvation in Jesus Christ.. Serves as visual marker. To identify me as a believer in Jesus Christ. When the enemy sees me, he knows that I belong to Christ. For I carry the seal of the Holy Spirit through the gospel of my salvation.

[Eph 1:13-14] And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory

CONCLUSION
A. Surrender wrongful thoughts that does not align with biblical truth

[Colossians 3:2] Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things

B. Transform my thoughts by renewing of God’s Word.

[Romans 12:2] Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
