What is the color of the snake and pole? On first glance, it looks golden. On second look, it seems more like bronze color.

Where can I find the story of bronze snake and pole in the bible? Numbers 21:4-9.

What is context of the story? Rebellion. Israel’s impatience. Speaking out against God and Moses [Num 21:4-5]

What did God send after Israel’s constant complaining about everything? Venomous snakes to bite them. Many Israelites died [Num 21:6-7]

What is God’s instruction to Moses after he prayed for the people? Make a bronze snake, put it up on a pole. Those who looked at the bronze snake, they lived [Num 21:8-9]

What is significance of bronze snake upon the pole in the [W] [H] [O] logo? Serpent snake takes credit for healing people. Snake is the one who healed them. For those people who LOOK UP at the pole with the bronze snake perched at the top, they were healed. Snake is false healer.

What finally happen to the bronze snake and pole? King Hezekiah broke the bronze snake into pieces, for up to that time the Israelites had been burning incense to it. [2 Kings 18:1-4]

CONCLUSION
Only Jesus Christ is the true Healer. We are healed by the blood of the Lamb of God. We are healed by faith in His name. There is no other Healer except through the Son of Man.
